COG Family Dance, Friday, August 26, 2011

Everyone who attended the COG Family Dance on Friday, August 26, had a great time.  Highlights of the evening included a karaoke solo by Sixth Grader Caleb Cox, a very cool Bunny Hop by Mrs. Henning and her kindergarten students and a very graceful waltz and high-stepping swing dance by COG church members Vern and Joann Schroeder.  The kids enjoyed played with lighted hula hops and – although the dance was nothing like the old Lawrence Welk Show, the kids still got to chase some bubbles

Annual Backpack Blessing Great Success!!

Blessing of the Back Packs 2011

A BIG thank you to all the parents and students who attended our annual Backpack Blessing on Sunday, August 21.  How great it was to see so many new and familiar faces in the church congregation.  Thanks also to Pastor Joe Cox for his wonderful message to the kids — and adults — reminding us that, because of Jesus’ suffering, death and resurrection we are transformed from suffering sinners into forgiven Children of God!   A big thanks also to Mrs. Jane Chema and her work crew for preparing a delicious lunch for all of us.  It was a great day and  great start to a very exciting year.

Child of God Lutheran School Now Enrolling for the 2011-2012 school year!

Child of God Lutheran School provides a unique learning environment where we grow happy kids, from three-year- old pre-schoolers to eighth graders ready for high school!  Our mission is to provide quality, faith-based education for the community to make and equip disciples of Christ Jesus.

We are excited about our ministry opportunities because, through the work of the Holy Spirit, we help children develop spiritually strong hearts and academically strong minds.  Our growing physical education program helps students develop strong, healthy bodies.

Our curriculum provides instruction in comprehensive academic areas through a variety of teaching methods, while integrating Christ and biblical teachings in all classes.  Each teacher identifies and addresses the individual needs of students within the classroom setting.

Call the school office at 636/970-7080 to arrange for a tour of the school and/or to pick up an enrollment packet.  We would be happy to welcome YOU into the Child of God family!
